Medford football team silenced by Somerville

Somerville will now get ready for Beverly, a squad that defeated them last season in the Division 2 North state tournament. This year’s contest will be held at Hurd Stadium in Beverly on Saturday, Oct. 7, starting at 3 p.m.

    Seniors Elijah Jeffreys and Jiovanny Pierre combined for five scores, including a 50-yard punt return in the second quarter to help lead the Somerville football team past Medford, 42-0, at Medford's Hormel Stadium Sept. 29.The win halted Somerville's (2-2, 1-1) two-game losing streak.
