    New Orange Line Trains Unveiled at Wellington Station
    MA Governor Charlie Baker was in Medford on Tuesday for the unveiling of new Orange Line cars. According to MassDOT, 152 new cars are joining the Orange Line fleet, completely replacing the previous forty-year-old cars. The first new car should enter passenger service later this year and more trains will follow until all are in service by 2021, according to The Boston Globe .

    Allison Goldsberry A young driver is in police custody after allegedly striking three people and a dog late Sunday afternoon, killing one adult female and the animal. According to authorities, the incident happened on Spring Street near Emerald Street and Yeomans Avenue at 4:49 pm on Sunday.

Several news trucks were at the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred late Sunday afternoon on Spring Street. A witness said he saw the driver, a juvenile male, speeding and driving erratically before allegedly striking and killing a woman and then hitting and injuring a man and a woman walking a dog. The dog didn't survive. The accident is under investigation and no names have been released.
