Medford Department of Public Works: 86 trees fell Friday and Saturday

The high winds are causing havoc all over Medford right now. Ladder 2 just responded to Hurlcroft & Wicklow for a large tree that took down 2 utility poles. This caused power outages in the area. National Grid has been dispatched for repairs.

The biggest power outage occurred in Medford along Harvard Street between Mystic Avenue and Main Street, after a telephone pole on the corner of Harvard and Mystic snapped in half on Friday.

    Medford Department of Public Works: 86 trees fell Friday and Saturday
    The DPW is now prepping for the upcoming storm on Wednesday and Thursday. After responding to 86 fallen trees between March 2 and 3, the Department of Public Works can finally take a breather - at least for a few days.
