    A teen driver is accused of running down three people and a dog in Medford on Sunday.The male driver struck and killed a woman near Spring and Emerald streets just before 5 p.m., officials said.The teen continued driving on Spring Street and hit two other people and a dog before crashing into a Citizen's Bank near Yeomans Avenue.The driver, who witnesses said is a high school senior, was taken into police custody at the scene.The identities of the victims have not been released.

    Medford looks to change zoning as housing demand increases
    The city has seen an uptick in large-scale residential development projects in recent years. Fourteen developments have gone before the Zoning Board of Appeals for site plan review since 2009, all of them residential or mixed-use projects containing some residential units. Of those projects, 13 were approved, and one was rejected by the board.

Medford Department of Public Works: 86 trees fell Friday and Saturday

The high winds are causing havoc all over Medford right now. Ladder 2 just responded to Hurlcroft & Wicklow for a large tree that took down 2 utility poles. This caused power outages in the area. National Grid has been dispatched for repairs. pic.twitter.com/ATddht3geE

The biggest power outage occurred in Medford along Harvard Street between Mystic Avenue and Main Street, after a telephone pole on the corner of Harvard and Mystic snapped in half on Friday.

    Medford Department of Public Works: 86 trees fell Friday and Saturday
    The DPW is now prepping for the upcoming storm on Wednesday and Thursday. After responding to 86 fallen trees between March 2 and 3, the Department of Public Works can finally take a breather - at least for a few days.
